Cazadero: Small Town Shopping Tour
By Vesta Copestakes
« Monte Rio

Turn back onto 116 West and head toward the ocean with a few stops along the way. The first turn off the road you want to take if you love bread and baked goods and have the time to explore a few miles off the path. During the winter months, Ramond's Bakery has a sign at the entrance to Cazadero Road that tells of winter hours, so check what day and time you are there before you head down this path. If you decide to go, oh my, you are in for a treat. In fact, you'll find pizza here as well and the most quiet and serene environment you can find around here. I make this a special trip on my motorcycle when I deliver papers out here. Why not. A bran and raisin/walnut muffin, a cup of hot coffee and I'm fueled for the road. As long as you're here, head to the Cazadero General Store for an excellent wine selection and bulk herbs among many thing. This store is all things to all people because once you are in Cazadero, you really don't want to head out unless you have to.
